Dead legs

Well I'm really feeling the skiing in my legs this week. It started off allright. I had a great run round the monash uni grounds on Monday morning in between classes, including 15 minutes of barefoot running (love that squidgey feeling of mud seeping into my socks:D). I did notice a bit of a drop-off after 45 minutes, but still it wasn't too bad a run. The next day though, I felt sooooo slow and I have the empirical data to prove it! Thanks to my forerunner, I no longer have any cloak of uncertainty to hide behind, and I must reveal to you that I did 60 minutes at 6:31 pace and that was including attempts to push it up the hills (ended up cutting 30 minutes of hills off anyway, so even that isn't an excuse)!

Wednesday wasn't any better: 10.34km in 65:00 (6:17/k) but it was quite a nice run anyway, again with 15 minutes of barefoot (I'm hoping the barefoot running will get rid of my annoying and slightly dangerous habit of overstriding).

So I'm not expecting much from this week. I don't feel any more recovered today, so although I'm still going to try to do my hill workout, I doubt I'll get through it, or at least if I do, it'll be hideously slow! Oh well, I'm just going to push through because I have a recovery week scheduled for next week anyway.
